Eateries in and around Weymouth

The Marlboro
As part of my time in weymouth I've decided after a request to do reviews on restaurants we eat at in and around weymouth. There are lots of nice places to eat in dorset and because we are on holiday we eat out more often so there will be plenty of opportunity to review nice places that we've eaten at. I  will do the reviews in categories and then give those categories ratings. i.e food quality /5, prices /5 etc. I will start this with a review of a restaurant called the marlboro which is situated in Weymouth town centre.

Food quality

The food here is absolutely amazing. it is freshly caught that day from boats in the harbour and always tastes great. they cook it fresh for you so it comes out piping hot. i have never had a bad meal from here and have been eating there for over 8 years.
Ambience

There is always a nice atmosphere inside this restaurant as when we visit the customers are mainly tourists so are talking about things they've done throughout the day. also the fact that their isn't loud music is nice because it doesn't mean that you have to shout to be heard hen talking to others who you are eating with.
Price

Whilst some people might think that the prices are high, when you look around at the other fish and chip restaurants in the town, they are very similar prices and yet the quality in the marlboro is far better than any of the other fish and chip restaurants.

Wifi

There is free wifi available in the restaurant and the password is displayed inside on a notice board. The wifi is very fast and means that you can surf the web whilst eating your fish and chips.
Customer service

The staff are always friendly and notice weather or not you are a regular customer. this shows that they have incredibly good attention to detail which adds to the welcoming feeling you get. However this doesn't affect the way new customers are treated either which is great.
Extras

the marlboro offers a card which gives you a 10% discount which can be used each time you go which is great. this is the only offer though and you have to be a frequent visitor to use it and there are no offer cards for people who are on holiday.

A great restaurant, without doubt the best fish and chips in dorset, and one i would highly recommend going to when you are in weymouth either on holiday or business or even if you are visiting a nearby town, its definitely worth the drive.
