Waterskiing at the ferrybridge

Last week we went to see water-skiers at the ferry bridge near portland. It was great as it was very windy so there were lots of windsurfers. It looked like great fun and they were reaching very high speeds considering how close they were to the water edge.

London

Earlier last week I visited my uncle in London. It was the first time I had ever been to London and it was amazing. We tried to fit in as much as we could into the day that we were there and visited harrods, fortnum and mason, liberties, downing street, buckingham palace, Leicester square, and trafalgar square. overall I had a great time and would love to go back for longer to explore even more of the city.

Here are some pics...

Blog update

Sorry i haven't posted for a few days. i have been very busy as i have been collecting my GCSEs exam results and so was unable to post online. I will make up for this by posting more posts than usual for things I've been upto recently :)

durdle door

A few days ago we went to Durdle door. It was unbelievably busy and we have never see anything like it. There were so many people that they looked like ants. This is near the site of a huge landslide that occurred 2 years ago yet now all of the stones have been washed away by the tides and currents around the area.

Dorset echo (again)

Yet again a picture of mine taken of the full moon on monday has been put on the website. they said that they found it on my blog and asked me if they could put it on their website and if so where was the photo taken. This is great news for me because it shows that people are actually liking what i'm putting on my blog and that big organisations like the dorset echo are looking at it as well.

Heres the link and the picture to look out for...

Newtons cove

Yesterday we went to newtons cove. Its great there because its so sheltered, on weymouth beach there were 40mph winds and here you were none the wiser that anything was going on. nothe gardens is lovely as well, we walked through the trees and along the breakwater by the sea, afterwards we went into town for fish and chips at the marlboro which was great :)

Here are some pics...

This is the view from the town bridge in weymouth, an iconic picture in the town which is printed onto many postcards and calendars.

Newtons cove, very calm and tranquil while round the other side of the fort, 40mph winds are battering the beach.

Nothe gardens looking great in the summer sunshine.

Hurricane Bertha

Today we went to chesil beach to see the waves created by the tail end of hurricane Bertha. The waves were huge and the high tide caused by the full moon meant that they were very close to the top of the breakwaters which are at least 30ft above sea level. The winds have also been immense with over  40mph gusts for the past 2 days and forecast for most of the coming week which isn't good. I have some pics which I will show you of what we saw at chesil beach :)
